About Us

Grammy's Family

We are so blessed to have such a great family! Roger (Grampy) and I love this “grandparents gig.” We have two daughters, Julia and Jaclyn (Jackie). Julia and her husband Pete have blessed us with three granddaughters, Natalie 10 and twins Alexandria and Samantha, nine. Our daughter Jaclyn and her husband Chris have blessed us with another granddaughter, Olivia, who just turned two.
I ‘m fortunate enough to still have my mom around. She’s 84 and hard for me keep up with. In 2006, we had five generations, until my grandmother passed away in 2007 at the age of 98. My dad went to heaven in 2001. I have a sister, a sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, two nieces and one nephew. We have a few true and blue friends that have always been there for us. My best friend, whom I have known since the age of 13, passed away six years ago. Her daughter is our Godchild and we remain close to her and her family. We have the best neighbors anyone could ask for.
We have a dog named Popeye. He’s a white boxer and a rescue dog. We also have a female cat named Joey, that our daughter Jackie stuck us with. Grampy and I both have soft spots in our hearts (or should I say heads) for animals and for our daughters. What can I say?
I just retired from teaching High School English. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Distributive Education and an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration. I’m very new to blogging, so thank you in advance for reading and posting as I figure out what I’m doing!
Grampy and I don’t have much money, but we have the best life ever because of all the people (and animals) in it. I hope you enjoy this website and that it will help you have fun on a small budget with a few “little helpers”!
HAVE A GRAND DAY AND…..
Please write and tell me about your family!
